     William Wylie Grierson was born on 9 December 1863.3 He was the son of James Grierson.2 He married Aleen Isabel Bell, daughter of Robert Popham Bell, on 14 September 1927 at St. Paul's Church, Knightsbridge, London, England.1 He died on 14 March 1935 at age 71 at San Remo, Italy, after an operation.4
     William Wylie Grierson was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.5 He was chief engineer of the Great Western Railway Company between 1904 and 1923.5 He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1918.1,5 He was president of the Institution of Civil Engineers between 1929 and 1930.5 He lived at Myskyns, Ticehurst, Surrey, England.1

     Philip Grierson was born on 14 January 1827 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2 He was the son of James Grierson and Sophia Mary Anne Grierson.1,2 He married, firstly, Mary Leachman, daughter of Henry Leachman and Mary Frazer, on 5 April 1855 at Kingstown, County Dublin, Ireland.2 He married, secondly, Mira Robertson, daughter of Captain Caleb Robertson and Mary Irwin, on 19 February 1862 at Leghorn, Italy.2 He married, thirdly, Esther Marion Keydon, daughter of James Keydon and Esther Hannay, on 16 December 1868 at Craigend Castle, Dunbartonshire, Scotland.2 He died on 1 January 1910 at age 82 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2
