     James Primrose, 2nd Earl of Rosebery was born circa 1690.1 He was the son of Archibald Primrose, 1st Earl of Rosebery and Dorothea Cressy.1 He married Mary Campbell, daughter of Hon. John Campbell and Elizabeth Elphinstone.1 He died on 26 November 1755.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Primrose and Dalmeny [S., 1700] on 20 October 1723.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount of Rosebery [S., 1700] on 20 October 1723.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount of Inverkeithing [S., 1703] on 20 October 1723.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Rosebery [S., 1703] on 20 October 1723.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Dalmeny and Primrose [S., 1703] on 20 October 1723.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Primrose, of Carrington [N.S., 1631] on 8 May 1741.1

     Her married name became Primrose. After her marriage, Mary Campbell was styled as Countess of Rosebery on 20 October 1723.

     Her married name became Inglis.

     John Primrose, Lord Dalmeny was born in 1725.1 He was the son of James Primrose, 2nd Earl of Rosebery and Mary Campbell.1 He died on 11 August 1755, unmarried.1

     Lady Sybil Myra Caroline Primrose was born in 1879.2 She was the daughter of Archibald Philip Primrose, 5th Earl of Rosebery and Hannah de Rothschild.3 She married General Sir Charles John Cecil Grant, son of Lt.-Gen Sir Robert Grant and Victoria Alexandrina Cotes, on 28 March 1903.1 She died on 25 February 1955.1
