     Archibald Douglas-Hamilton was born on 26 January 1844 at Boulogne, France.¹ He was the son of Douglas Ryves Douglas-Hamilton and Frances Ann Graves.¹ He died on 19 May 1845 at age 1 at Boulogne, France.¹

     Elizabeth Harriet Rickford was the daughter of William Rickford.¹ She married Sir Astley Paston Cooper, 2nd Bt., son of Reverend Samuel Lovick Cooper and Sarah Leman Rede, on 29 November 1821.¹ She died on 6 September 1878.¹
     From 29 November 1821, her married name became Cooper.

     Sir Astley Paston Paston-Cooper, 3rd Bt. was born on 23 February 1824.¹ He was the son of Sir Astley Paston Cooper, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Harriet Rickford.² He married, firstly, Etheldreda Julia Newton, daughter of George Newton, on 7 November 1855.¹ He married, secondly, Sophia Holford, daughter of John Holford, on 12 August 1890.³ He died on 19 October 1904 at age 80.³
     Sir Astley Paston Paston-Cooper, 3rd Bt. was baptised with the name of Astley Paston Cooper.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in 1848 in the service of the Rifle Brigade.¹ He fought in the Crimean War.¹ He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Cooper, of Gadebridge, co. Herts [U.K., 1821] on 6 January 1866.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Suffolk.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hertfordshire.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hertfordshire.¹ On 1884 his name was legally changed to Astley Paston Paston-Cooper by Royal Licence.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Hertfordshire in 1885.¹ He held the office of Mayor of Hemel Hempstead between 1898 and 1899.¹

     
     George Newton lived at Croxton Park, Huntingdonshire, England.¹

     Etheldreda Julia Newton was the daughter of George Newton.² She married Sir Astley Paston Paston-Cooper, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Astley Paston Cooper, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Harriet Rickford, on 7 November 1855.¹ She died on 17 July 1888.¹
     From 7 November 1855, her married name became Cooper. On 1884 her name was legally changed to Paston-Cooper.¹

     George Frederick Paston Cooper was born on 25 January 1861.¹ He was the son of Sir Astley Paston Paston-Cooper, 3rd Bt. and Etheldreda Julia Newton.² He died on 11 January 1895 at age 33, unmarried.¹
     George Frederick Paston Cooper gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 4th Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment.¹

     Edmund Courtenay Astley Paston Cooper was born on 10 August 1863.¹ He was the son of Sir Astley Paston Paston-Cooper, 3rd Bt. and Etheldreda Julia Newton.² He married Constance Mary Gorst, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir John Eldon Gorst, on 29 December 1887.¹ He died on 1 April 1892 at age 28, without issue.¹
     Edmund Courtenay Astley Paston Cooper gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Navy.¹

Sir John Eldon Gorst.² She married, firstly, Edmund Courtenay Astley Paston Cooper, son of Sir Astley Paston Paston-Cooper, 3rd Bt. and Etheldreda Julia Newton, on 29 December 1887.¹ She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Bertie St. John Clarkson, son of Thomas Hollingsworth Clarkson, on 3 March 1898.¹
     From 29 December 1887, her married name became Cooper. From 3 March 1898, her married name became Clarkson.¹

     Sir Charles Naunton Paston Paston-Cooper, 4th Bt. was born on 27 September 1867.¹ He was the son of Sir Astley Paston Paston-Cooper, 3rd Bt. and Etheldreda Julia Newton.² He married Tatiana Dolgorukya, daughter of Prince Dmitri Dolgoruky, on 25 January 1899.¹ He died on 4 December 1941 at age 74, without issue.¹
     Sir Charles Naunton Paston Paston-Cooper, 4th Bt. succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Cooper, of Gadebridge, co. Herts [U.K., 1821] on 19 October 1904.¹
