     Lady Margaret Stewart was the daughter of James Stewart, 1st Earl of Moray and Lady Anne Keith.1 A contract for the marriage of Lady Margaret Stewart and Francis Hay, 9th Earl of Erroll was signed on 27 June 1584.1 She died in 1586, without issue.1
      Her married name became Hay. As a result of her marriage, Lady Margaret Stewart was styled as Countess of Erroll on 8 October 1585.
