     Mary Anne Curran was born on 23 February 1817 at Kaira, Bombay, IndiaG.1,2 She was the daughter of John Bury Curran and Mary Ann Hatton.1 She married William Edward Ennis Brady, son of Lawrence Brady and Mary Peat, on 12 July 1841 at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Sydney, New South Wales, AustraliaG.1,2 She died on 1 May 1883 at age 66 at Gothic Cottage, Ennis Street, Balmain, Sydney, New South Wales, AustraliaG.1,2 She was buried on 8 May 1883 at Waverley Cemetery, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.2
     She emigrated with his parents to Sydney, New South Wales, AustraliaG, arriving on September 1826 on board Orpheus.1 From 1841, her married name became Brady.1

     Ernest Augustus Curran was born on 18 September 1834 at Old Sydney Town, Sydney, New South Wales, AustraliaG.1 He was the son of Ernest Augustus Slade and Mary Anne Curran.1 He was baptised on 2 November 1834.1 He married Lavinia Brooker, daughter of Mark Brooker and Matilda Martha Simmons, in 1859 at Albury, New South Wales, AustraliaG.1 He died on 9 May 1911 at age 76 at Leichhardt, New South Wales, AustraliaG.1
     He was given the name of Ernest Augustus Slade at birth.1

     Ernest Augustus Slade was born on 30 June 1805 at Mont's Court, Somerset, England.2,3,4 He was the son of General Sir John Slade, 1st Bt. and Anna Eliza Dawson.1,5 He married Sarah Bickie.1 He died on 8 March 1878 at age 72 at Boulogne, FranceG.1 He was also reported to have died on 5 March 1868 at Boulogne, France.2,4 He was also reported to have died on 5 March 1878.3
     He gained the rank of Ensign in August 1822 in the 54th Foot.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in May 1825.3 He was Superintendent of Convict Barracks and Police Magistrate at Sydney, New South Wales, AustraliaG.1 He gained the rank of Officer in the 40th and 54th Foot.2
