     Louisa Slade was born in 1837 at Barnes, Surrey, EnglandG.2 She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. John Henry Slade and Eleanor Frances McVeagh.3 She married Alan Cameron Bruce Pryce, son of John Wyndham Bruce and Mary Anne Pryce Cameron, on 15 July 1858 at Walcot Church, Bath, Somerset, England.1,4 She died on 11 June 1868.1
     From 15 July 1858, her married name became Bruce.

     John Wyndham Bruce was born on 9 December 1809.3,4 He was the son of John Bruce Bruce-Pryce and Sarah Austin.1 He married Mary Anne Pryce Cameron, daughter of Lt.-Col. Nathaniel Pryce Cameron, in April 1835.4 He died on 6 March 1868 at age 58.4
     He was a practising barrister-at-law.4

     Alan Cameron Bruce Pryce was born on 18 February 1836 at London, England.2 He was the son of John Wyndham Bruce and Mary Anne Pryce Cameron.3,2 He married, firstly, Louisa Slade, daughter of Lt.-Col. John Henry Slade and Eleanor Frances McVeagh, on 15 July 1858 at Walcot Church, Bath, Somerset, England.1,2 He married, secondly, Susannah Mary Synnot Maunsell, daughter of George Woods Maunsell and Maria Synnot, on 25 September 1873 at St. Stephen's Church, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.4,2 He died on 13 May 1909 at age 73 at Abbeyholme, Overton Road, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.5,2
     He was given the name of Alan Cameron Bruce at birth.4 He was a practising barrister.1 In September 1873 his name was legally changed to Alan Cameron Bruce Pryce by Royal Licence.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Duffryn, St. Nicholas, Glamorgan, WalesG.4

     Major Charles George Slade was born on 30 September 1799.2 He was the son of General Sir John Slade, 1st Bt. and Anna Eliza Dawson.3 He was baptised on 15 November 1799 at Melcombe Regis, Dorset, EnglandG.2 He died on 10 February 1839 at age 39, without issue, at sea on the way home from India.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the 3rd Light Dragoons.1

     Charlotte Ramsay was born on 24 October 1821 at Berhampur, Bengal, IndiaG.2 She was the daughter of Hon. Andrew Ramsay.3 She married Lt.-Gen. Marcus John Slade, son of General Sir John Slade, 1st Bt. and Anna Eliza Dawson, on 7 April 1842.1 She died on 22 February 1909 at age 87.1
     From 7 April 1842, her married name became Slade.

     Maj.-Gen. Sir John Ramsay Slade was born on 16 March 1843.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Marcus John Slade and Charlotte Ramsay.2 He married, firstly, Lucia Aurora di Ramos, daughter of Don Vicente di Ramos, on 9 September 1871.1 He married, secondly, Janet Little Wood, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Robert Blucher Wood and Constantia Lowther, on 7 November 1882.1 He died on 4 September 1913 at age 70.1
     He was awarded the Knight, Order of St. Maurice and Lazarus of Italy.1 He was awarded the Grand Officer, Order of the Crown of Italy.1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM Queen Victoria.1 He was Military Attaché to the Italian Campaign in Africa.1 He fought in the Boer War.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1 He held the office of Gentleman Usher to HM King Edward VII between 1901 and 1903.1 He held the office of Gentleman Usher to HM King George V between 1905 and 1910.1 He was Colonel Commandant of the Royal Artillery in 1912.1
