     George Sackville Cotter was born in June 1816.1 He was the son of Reverend Joseph Rogerson Cotter and Annie Charlotte Butler.2 He married Henrietta Hoare, daughter of Reverend Thomas Hoare, on 15 January 1844.1
     George Sackville Cotter graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.).1
