     Arundel Hill Cotter was born on 15 April 1837.1 He was the son of Reverend Joseph Rogerson Cotter and Mary Purcell.2 He married, firstly, Williamina Grant Maclean, daughter of J. Maclean, on 12 May 1863.1 He married, secondly, Alice Amelia Anderson, daughter of W. M. Anderson.1 He died in 1883.1
     Arundel Hill Cotter gained the rank of officer in the service of the 8th Foot.1 He was registered as a Licentiate, Royal College of Physicians, London (L.R.C.P.).1

     Duncan Donald Darroch Cotter was born on 12 September 1838.1 He was the son of Reverend Joseph Rogerson Cotter and Mary Purcell.2 He married, firstly, Helen Musson, daughter of Thomas Musson, on 7 July 1864.1 He married, secondly, Ella Margaret Paterson, daughter of William Paterson, on 2 June 1874.1 He died in 1890.1
     Duncan Donald Darroch Cotter gained the rank of Officer in the service of the 6th Foot.1
