     Elizabeth Frances Edie was born on 24 December 1861.1 She was the daughter of Alexander Clotworthy Downing Leckie Edie and Diana Maria Battley.1 She married, firstly, James Eyre, son of Henry Paul Samuel Eyre and Georgina Eyre, in a childless marriage.1 She married, secondly, Colonel Henry Stannard, son of Reverand Henry Stannard and unknown Riddick, in 1901 in a childless marriage.1 She married, thirdly, Sir Lawrence Charles Edward Downing Dowdall, son of Reverand Launcelot Dowdall and Maria Downing, on 1 August 1914 in a childless marriage.1 She died in March 1962 at age 100.1
     Her married name became Eyre.1 From 1901, her married name became Stannard.1 She lived at The Grange, Ballyragget, County Kilkenny, Ireland, which she inheirited from her second husband.1 From 1 August 1914, her married name became Lady Dowdall.1
