     Admiral Charles H. Swinburne was the son of Sir J. Swinburne, Bt..2 He married Lady Jane Henrietta Ashburnham, daughter of Sir George Ashburnham, 3rd Earl of Ashburnham and Charlotte Percy, on 19 May 1836.1 He died on 4 March 1877.2
     Admiral Charles H. Swinburne gained the rank of Admiral in the service of the Royal Navy.1
