     Sir Francis Fane was the son of Francis Fane, 1st Earl of Westmorland and Mary Mildmay.1 He married Elizabeth West, daughter of William West.1 He died circa 1681. His will was probated in September 1681.
     Sir Francis Fane held the office of Governor of Doncaster Castle.1 He held the office of Governor of Lincoln Castle.1 He was a dramatist and poet.1 He lived at Aston, Yorkshire, England.1 He lived at Fulbeck, Lincolnshire, England.1 He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.).1

     Elizabeth West was the daughter of William West.1 She married, secondly, Sir Francis Fane, son of Francis Fane, 1st Earl of Westmorland and Mary Mildmay.1 She married, firstly, John Darcy, 4th Lord Darcy, son of Michael Darcy and Margaret Wentworth.1 She died circa July 1669.1 She was buried on 24 July 1669.2
     Her married name became Darcy.1 Her married name became Fane.1

     John Darcy, 4th Lord Darcy was born circa 1579.1 He was the son of Michael Darcy and Margaret Wentworth.1 He married, fourthly, Elizabeth West, daughter of William West.2 He married, firstly, Rosamund Frescheville, daughter of Peter Frescheville.1 He married, secondly, Isabel Wray, daughter of Sir Christopher Wray, on 7 May 1617.1 He married, thirdly, Mary Belasyse, daughter of Thomas Belasyse, 1st Viscount Fauconberg of Henknowle, on 7 November 1624.1 He died on 5 July 1635, without surviving issue.1
     John Darcy, 4th Lord Darcy succeeded to the title of 4th Lord Darcy [E., 1504] on 18 October 1602.1
