     Margaret Fenton was the daughter of James Fenton.1 She married Edward Clive Bayley, son of Thomas Butterworth Bayley and Mary Leggatt, on 2 July 1814 at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.1 She was buried at Protestant Cemetery, Smolensk, Russia.1
     From 2 July 1814, her married name became Bayley.1

     Sir Edward Clive Bayley was born on 17 October 1821 at St. Petersburg, Russia.1 He was the son of Edward Clive Bayley and Margaret Fenton.1 He married Emily Anne Theophilia Metcalfe, daughter of Sir Thomas Theophilius Metcalfe, 4th Bt., on 6 March 1850 at Delhi, India.1 He died on 30 April 1884 at age 62 at Wilminton Lodge, Keymer.1
     Sir Edward Clive Bayley was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England.1 He was with the Bengal Civil Service between 1842 and 1854.1 He was a Judge at Agra, India.1 He held the office of Foreign Secretary to the Government of India.1 He held the office of Home Secretary between 1862 and 1872.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.) on 1 January 1877.1
