Sir George Francis Blacker was born on 23 October 1865.2 He was the son of Major-Gen. Latham William Blacker and Harriette de Maine Smith.1 He married Shirley Elvina Bowen, daughter of Reverend Thomas James Bowen, in 1904, they were the parents of one son.2 He died on 21 May 1948 at age 82.2
