     Lady Doris Peel was born on 25 March 1900. She is the daughter of William Robert Wellesley Peel, 1st Earl Peel and Hon. Eleanor Williamson.1 She married Lt.-Col. Latham Valentine Stewart Blacker, son of Major Latham Charles Miller Blacker and Emily Violet Mattei, on 15 February 1927.1
     Her married name became Blacker. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the county of London in 1939.1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the county of Sussex in 1948.1 As of 1976, Lady Doris Peel lived at Coldhayes, Liss, Hampshire, England.1

     Lt.-Col. Latham Valentine Stewart Blacker was born on 1 October 1887.2 He is the son of Major Latham Charles Miller Blacker and Emily Violet Mattei.2 He married Lady Doris Peel, daughter of William Robert Wellesley Peel, 1st Earl Peel and Hon. Eleanor Williamson, on 15 February 1927.2 He died on 19 April 1964 at age 76.2
     Lt.-Col. Latham Valentine Stewart Blacker was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.2 He was serving in the North West Frontier in 1908.2 He joined the service of the Queen's Own Corps of Guides in 1909.2 He was qualified as a pilot in 1911.2 He fought in the First World War, with the 57th Wilde's Rifles, during which he was wounded. and with the Royal Flying Corps, during which he was wounded again, and with the Guides in the Trans-Crispian campaign.2 He fought in the Afghan War in 1919.2 He was Commander of the Indian Force between 1919 and 1920.2 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1920.2 He held the office of a Tealto Dail.2 He was aboard the first flight over Mt. Everest in 1933.2 He lived at Coldhayes, Liss, Hampshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Artillery.2 He was the inventor of the Infantry Anti-Tank Projector (P.I.A.T.) which was used during the Second World War, as well as the Blacker Bombard and the Ayre Petard.2 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.).1 He lived at Coldhayes, Liss, Hampshire, England.2

     Major Latham Charles Miller Blacker was born on 30 August 1856.1 He is the son of Major-Gen. Latham William Blacker and Harriette de Maine Smith.1 He married Emily Violet Mattei, daughter of Major-Gen. Anthony Mattei and Marie Lesyczinska, on 11 November 1885.1 He died in 1927.1
     Major Latham Charles Miller Blacker fought in the Afghan War between 1878 and 1879.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Artillery.1
