     William Bindon Blood was born on 20 January 1817.1 He was the son of Bindon Blood and Harriet Bagot.1 He married, firstly, Margaret Stewart, daughter of Robert Stewart, in 1841.1 He married, secondly, Maria Augusta Persse, daughter of Robert Henry Persse and Katharine Isabella Seymour, in 1855.1 He died on 31 January 1894 at age 77.1
     He was educated at Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He was a civil engineer.1 He was employed by Brunel in the construction of the Great Western Railway.1 He was a Professor of Civil Engineering at Queen's College, Galway, County Galway, IrelandG.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Cranagher, County Clare, IrelandG.1
