     Sir Archdale Robert Palmer, 4th Bt. was born on 1 November 1838.3 He is the son of Sir George Joseph Palmer, 3rd Bt. and Emily Elizabeth Holford.2 He married Lady Augusta Amelia Shirley, daughter of Washington Sewallis Shirley, 9th Earl Ferrers and Lady Augusta Annabella Chichester, on 19 August 1873.1 He died on 26 July 1906 at age 67, without issue.3
     Sir Archdale Robert Palmer, 4th Bt. was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Rifle Brigade.3 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Hudson, of Wanlip Hall, co. Leicester [G.B., 1791] on 22 February 1866.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Leicestershire.3
