     John Gurdon is the son of Lt.-Col. Theophilus Thornhagh Gurdon and Anne Mellish.2
      He was ancestor of the Gurdon-Rebows of Wyvenhoe Park.1

     Reverend Philip Gurdon was born on 20 June 1800.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Theophilus Thornhagh Gurdon and Anne Mellish.2 He married Henrietta Laura Pulteney, daughter of John Pulteney, on 3 July 1832.1 He died on 1 August 1874 at age 74.1
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He was the Rector at Southburgh, Norfolk, England.1 He was the Rector at Reymerston, Norfolk, England.1 He was the Rector at Cranworth-cum-Letton, Norfolk, England.1

     Henrietta Laura Pulteney was the daughter of John Pulteney.2 She married Reverend Philip Gurdon, son of Lt.-Col. Theophilus Thornhagh Gurdon and Anne Mellish, on 3 July 1832.1 She died on 17 August 1898.1
      From 3 July 1832, her married name became Gurdon.

William Gurdon1

     Reverend Edward Gurdon was born on 26 February 1812.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Theophilus Thornhagh Gurdon and Anne Mellish.2 He married, firstly, Mary Wilhelmina Frederica Frere, daughter of William Frere and Mary Dillingham, on 20 October 1846.1 He married, secondly, Catherine Mary Jane Temple Frere, daughter of Reverend Temple Frere, on 23 September 1853.1 He died on 31 July 1873 at age 61.1
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He was the Rector at Barnham Brrom, Norfolk, England.1 He was the Rector at Kimberley, Norfolk, England.1 He was the Rector at Hingham, Norfolk, England.1

     Mary Wilhelmina Frederica Frere was the daughter of William Frere and Mary Dillingham.2 She married Reverend Edward Gurdon, son of Lt.-Col. Theophilus Thornhagh Gurdon and Anne Mellish, on 20 October 1846.1 She died on 3 November 1850, without issue.1
      From 20 October 1846, her married name became Gurdon.

Edward Henry Orpen1

     Edward Henry Orpen was born circa 1815.1 He was the son of Captain Henry Richard Orpen and Letitia Becher.1 He married Frances Everina Heatley in 1840.1 He died in 1855.1
