     Joscelin I de Courtenay, Count of Edessa was the son of Josselin de Courtenay, Seigneur de Courtenay and Elizabeth de Montlhéry.2 He married, secondly, Maria of Salerno, daughter of Richard of Salerno and Altrude de Conversano.1 He married, firstly, unknown of Armenia, daughter of unknown of Armenia.2 He died in 1131, after being injured by falling masonry while sapping the tower of a castle he was besieging.2
     Joscelin I de Courtenay, Count of Edessa was styled as Prince of Galilee between 1112 and 1118.2 He gained the title of Count of Edessa in 1118.1,2
