Admiral Sir Michael de Courcy was born on 8 May 1811.1 He was the son of Captain Nevinson Blennerhassett de Courcy and Mary Blennerhassett.2 He married Sybella Morris, daughter of Commander John Row Morris, on 12 February 1845.1 He died on 22 October 1881 at age 70.1
