     Sir William John Crossley, 1st Bt. was born on 22 April 1844.1 He was the son of Francis Crossley and Elizabeth Helen Irwin.2 He married Mabel Gordon Anderson, daughter of Francis Anderson, on 20 April 1876.1 He died on 12 October 1911 at age 67.1
     He was director of Manchester Ship Canal.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cheshire.1 He was chairman of Crossley Brothers at Manchester, Lancashire, England.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Manchester.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Altrincham between 1906 and 1910.1 He was created 1st Baronet Crossley, of Glenfield, Dunham Massey, co. Chester [U.K.] on 26 November 1909.1

     Gerald de Prendergast was the son of Philip de Prendergast and Maude de Quincy.1 He married, firstly, Matilda Butler, daughter of Theobald Butler.1 He married, secondly, Matilda de Burgh, daughter of Richard de Burgh, Lord of Connaught and Hodiernna de Gernon.1 He died in 1251.1
     He was founder of Enniscorthy Abbey.1

Maurice de Prendergast1

     Maurice de Prendergast died in 1205.1
     He gained the title of Lord of Prendergast [feudal baron].1 In 1169 he was one of the Cambro-Norman knights who went with Strongbow, Earl of Pembroke, to Ireland.1 In 1177 he gave Prendergast Castle in Wales to the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem, and eventually joined that order.1 He was Prior of Kilmainham.1

     Philip de Prendergast was born before 1185.1 He was the son of Maurice de Prendergast.2 He married Maude de Quincy, daughter of Robert de Quincy.1 He died in 1226.1
     He held the office of Constable of Leinster, which he acquired through his wife.1 He acquired the town of Enniscorthy, County Wexford through his wife.1
