     Lt.-Cdr. Francis Everard Meynell was born on 24 April 1917.1 He was the son of Sir Everard Charles Lindley Meynell and Rose Bulteel.1 He married Janet Penelope Dibley, daughter of Engr. Rear-Admiral Albert Kingsley Dibley, on 25 February 1956.1 He died on 18 February 1996 at age 78 at South Africa.1,2
     Lt.-Cdr. Francis Everard Meynell was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1962.1
