     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).1 He lived Nunwell and Parnham.1 He succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Oglander, of Nunwell on 17 January 1852.

     George Clive was born in October 1803.3 He was the son of Edward Bolton Clive and Hon. Harriet Archer.4 He married Ann Sybella Martha Farquhar, daughter of Sir Thomas Harvie Farquhar, 2nd Bt. and Sybella Martha Rockcliffe, on 2 May 1835.3 He died on 8 June 1880 at age 76.3
