Alexander Adolf Anton Graf und Freiherr von Bothmer zu Schwegerhoff was born on 1 December 1823 at Eickhoff bei Liebenau.1 He was the son of Johann Clamor Hilmar Graf und Freiherr von Bothmer zu Schwegerhoff and Julie Therese Elisabeth von Hasberg.1 He married Gertrud Rhau, daughter of Ottomar Rhau and Luise Roloff, on 23 March 1873 at Breslau.1 He died on 5 August 1892 at age 68 at Budapest, Hungary.1
