     Richard Arthur Samuel Hulse was born on 22 March 1936.¹ He is the son of Sir Hamilton Westrow Hulse, 9th Bt. and Philippa Mabel Taylor.² He married Caroline Susan Joan Tapps-Gervis-Meyrick, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir George David Elliott Tapps-Gervis-Meyrick, on 14 November 1963.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the service of the Scots Guards.¹ He lived in 2003 at The Old Chapel, Netton, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.¹

     Thomas Parker Mew was baptised on 6 October 1819 at Newport, Hampshire, England.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Mew and Mary Ann (?).¹ He married Mary Julia Loe on 21 October 1840 at St. Thomas, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England.¹ He died in 1888 at Stockbridge, Hampshire, England.¹

     Caroline Susan Joan Tapps-Gervis-Meyrick is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir George David Elliott Tapps-Gervis-Meyrick.² She married Richard Arthur Samuel Hulse, son of Sir Hamilton Westrow Hulse, 9th Bt. and Philippa Mabel Taylor, on 14 November 1963.¹

     Ambrosine Nellie Orr Wilson was the daughter of Captain Herbert Stanley Orr Wilson.² She married Sir Hamilton Westrow Hulse, 9th Bt., son of Sir Hamilton John Hulse, 8th Bt. and Estelle Campbell, on 3 June 1938.¹ She died on 7 January 1940.¹
