     Richard Arthur Samuel Hulse was born on 22 March 1936.1 He is the son of Sir Hamilton Westrow Hulse, 9th Bt. and Philippa Mabel Taylor.2 He married Caroline Susan Joan Tapps-Gervis-Meyrick, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir George David Elliott Tapps-Gervis-Meyrick, on 14 November 1963.1
     Richard Arthur Samuel Hulse was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the service of the Scots Guards.1 He lived in 2003 at The Old Chapel, Netton, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.1
