     Sir Alexander Jardine of Applegirth is the son of John Jardine of Applegirth.2 He married unknown Maxwell, daughter of John Maxwell, 4th Lord Maxwell of Monreith.1
     In 1524 he was active in the wars against the English.1

     John Jardine of Applegirth was the son of Sir Alexander Jardine of Applegirth and unknown Maxwell.2 A contract for the marriage of John Jardine of Applegirth and Margaret Douglas was signed on 4 August 1543.1 He died before 1576.1
     In 1547 he was active in wars against the English.1
