     Hon. Laura Miranda Bonham Carter was born on 13 October 1918.2 She was the daughter of Sir Maurice Bonham Carter and Lady Helen Violet Asquith, Baroness Asquith of Yarnbury.1 She married Joseph Grimond, Baron Grimond, son of Joseph Bowman Grimond and Lydia Helen Richardson, on 31 May 1938 at St. Margaret's Church, Westminster, London, EnglandG.3 She died on 14 February 1994 at age 75.2
     From 31 May 1938, her married name became Grimond. She held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Orkney and Shetland between 1950 and 1983.2 She was Leader of the Liberal Party between 1956 and 1967.2 She graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.)2 She was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)2 She was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)2

Helen Laura Cressida Bonham Carter was born on 22 April 1917.2 She was the daughter of Sir Maurice Bonham Carter and Lady Helen Violet Asquith, Baroness Asquith of Yarnbury.1 She married Jasper Alexander Maurice Ridley, son of Hon. Sir Jaspar Nicholas Ridley and Natalie Louise Gräfin von Benckendorff, on 8 June 1939.1 She died on 10 June 1998 at age 81 at Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.3
     Hon. Helen Laura Cressida Bonham Carter usually went by her middle name of Cressida.2 She graduated from London University, London, England, with a Diploma of Architecture.2 Her married name became Ridley. She was an archaeologist.3

     Her married name became Mackenzie. She lived in 2003 at Green Corner, Tyninghame, Dunbar, East Lothian, ScotlandG.1

     Lucy Eleanor Barnes was born on 25 December 1897.2 She was the daughter of Sir George Stapylton Barnes and Sybil de Gournay Buxton.1,2 She married Charles Alfred Euston FitzRoy, 10th Duke of Grafton, son of Reverend Lord Charles Edward FitzRoy and Hon. Ismay Mary Helen Augusta FitzRoy, on 6 October 1924.1 She died on 11 September 1943 at age 45.1
     From 6 October 1924, her married name became FitzRoy.1 After her marriage, Lucy Eleanor Barnes was styled as Duchess of Grafton on 4 August 1936.

Ismay Mary Helen Augusta FitzRoy, on 18 July 1944.1 She died on 24 August 1970.1

     John Maxwell, 3rd Lord Maxwell was born circa 1454.1 He was the son of John Maxwell, Master of Maxwell and Janet Crichton.2 He married Agnes Stewart, daughter of Sir Alexander Stewart, 3rd of Garlies and Elizabeth Douglas, from 15 February 1491 to 20 February 1491/92.3 He died on 9 September 1513 at Flodden Field, Northumberland, England, killed in action.3
     He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Maxwell [S., 1445] on 29 April 1486.3 In 1488 Battle of Sauchieburn.3 He held the office of Warden of the Western Marches.3 He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513.3
