     Sir Michael Ferguson Davie, 8th Bt. was born on 10 January 1944.1 He is the son of Sir John Ferguson Davie, 7th Bt. and Joan Zoë Charlotte Hoole.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Jean Macbeth, daughter of Douglas John Macbeth, on 13 June 1968.1 He and Margaret Jean Macbeth were divorced in 1992.1 He married, secondly, Sarah Diana Seyfried, daughter of John Beeton Seyfried and Lady Cathleen Blanche Lily Eliot, on 20 January 2001.1
     Sir Michael Ferguson Davie, 8th Bt. was educated at St. Edward's School, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 A stock broker.1 He was with Grenfell and Company between 1961 and 1979.1 He was with Fielding Newson-Smith and Company between 1979 and 1986.1 He was Director of NatWest Markets between 1986 and 1995.1 He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Ferguson Davie, of Creedy, co.
