     Lt.-Col. Arthur Francis Ferguson Davie was born on 11 July 1867.1 He was the son of Sir William Augustus Ferguson Davie, 3rd Bt. and Frances Harriett Miles.2 He married Eleanor Blanche Daphne Naylor, daughter of Charles Topham Naylor, on 2 August 1906.1 He died on 11 April 1916 at age 48, from wound received in action.1
     He fought in the Waziristan Campaign between 1894 and 1895.1 He fought in the Chitral Campaign in 1896.1 He fought in the Tirah Campaign between 1897 and 1898.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.)1 He fought in the Waziristan Campaign between 1901 and 1902.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 51st Sikhs, Indian Army.1 He fought in the First World War.1

Arthur Francis Ferguson Davie, son of Sir William Augustus Ferguson Davie, 3rd Bt. and Frances Harriett Miles, on 2 August 1906.1 She married, secondly, Major John Horace Wyndham Knight-Bruce, son of Rt. Rev. George Wyndham Hamilton Knight-Bruce and Louisa Torr, on 9 July 1918.1
     From 2 August 1906, her married name became Ferguson Davie.1
