Edward Guy Ripley was born on 6 October 1881.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Ripley, 2nd Bt. and Eugenie Frederica Fulcher Emmott-Rawdon.2 He died on 12 April 1959 at age 77, unmarried.1
Edward Guy Ripley gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Rifle Brigade.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1901 and 1902.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Motor Transport, Army Service Corps.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.1
