     Robert FitzMaurice Deane, 9th Baron Muskerry was educated at Sandford Park School, Ranelagh, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).2 He succeeded to the title of 9th Baron Muskerry, co. Cork [I., 1781] on 14 October 1988.1 He succeeded to the title of 14th Baronet Deane [I., 1710] on 14 October 1988.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.A.I.).2 He was a director of Port Marine Ltd.2 He was a director of Electro Marine Ltd.2 He was managing director of Elgin Brown & Hamer (Pty) Ltd.2 He lived in 2003 at 725 Ridge Road, Berea, Durban, Natal, South Africa.2
