     Sir James Home was the son of Sir John Home and Margaret Ker.1 A contract for the marriage of Sir James Home and Katherine Home was signed on 13 August 1562.1 He died on 22 April 1592.1
     Sir James Home was invested as a Knight in 1565.1 He lived at Cowdenknows, Scotland.1
