     John Home was born before 1456. He was the son of Alexander Home, Master of Home and Agnes Hepburn. He married Margaret Kerr, daughter of Andrew Kerr and Margaret Hepburn, between 20 March 1471 and 1472.
     John Home lived at Ersilton. He was the ancestor of the Earl of Home.

     Lady Vere Kerr was born on 24 April 1649. She was the daughter of Sir William Kerr, 1st Earl of Lothian and Anne Kerr.1 She married Lord Neil Campbell, son of Archibald Campbell, 1st Marquess of Argyll and Lady Margaret Douglas, on 28 January 1668.1
     Her married name became Campbell.
