     Sir John Frederick Croft, 2nd Bt. was born on 31 August 1828.1 He is the son of Sir John Croft, 1st Bt. and Anne Knox Radcliffe.2 He married Emma Graham, daughter of John Graham, on 4 June 1856.1 He died on 24 May 1904 at age 75.1
     Sir John Frederick Croft, 2nd Bt. succeeded to the title of 2nd Baron da Serra da Estrella [Portugal] on 5 February 1862.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Croft, of Cowling Hall, Yorkshire [U.K., 1818] on 5 February 1862.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kent.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Kent in 1872.1
