     William Fane was born on 5 April 1789. He was the son of Henry Fane and Anne Batson. He married Louisa Hay Dashwood, daughter of Thomas Dashwood, on 12 January 1811. He died on 7 March 1839 at age 49.
     William Fane was employed by the Honourable East India Company Service (H.E.I.C.S.).1

     Louisa Hay Dashwood was the daughter of Thomas Dashwood. She married William Fane, son of Henry Fane and Anne Batson, on 12 January 1811. She died on 14 November 1855.
     Her married name became Fane.

He married, firstly, Elizabeth Nisbet, daughter of Matthew Nisbet, in November 1829. He married, secondly, Marianne Sarah Saunderson, daughter of Robert Saunderson, on 2 March 1853. He died on 2 March 1869.
