     Marcus Gervais de la Poer Beresford was born on 22 October 1888.1 He was the son of Henry Tristram de la Poer Beresford and Louisa Margaret Coventry.1 He married Susan Mildred Blomfield Campbell, daughter of Edward Charles Close Campbell, on 27 October 1927.1 He died on 6 October 1967 at age 78.1
     Marcus Gervais de la Poer Beresford gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Field Artillery.1 He graduated from Sydney University, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, in 1913 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Australian Garrison Forces.1 He fought in the Second World War.1
