Charles Hubert Francis Noel was born on 22 October 1885.1 He was the son of Charles William Francis Noel, 3rd Earl of Gainsborough and Mary Elizabeth Dease.1 He married May Dick, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Archibald Campbell Douglas Dick, on 31 May 1912.1 He died on 26 April 1947 at age 61.1
     He gained the rank of Temporary Major and Deputy Assistant Quartermaster-General in 1919.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Coldstream Guards.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1942.1 He gained the rank of Captain and Temporary Major in the Royal Engineers.1

     He gained the rank of Captain in the 6th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers, attached to the Nigeria Regiment.1

     Her married name became Noel. After her marriage, Alice Mary Eyre was styled as Countess of Gainsborough on 17 April 1926.

     Lady Maureen Thérèse Josephine Noel was born on 7 March 1917.1 She was the daughter of Arthur Edward Joseph Noel, 4th Earl of Gainsborough and Alice Mary Eyre.1 She married, firstly, Charles Walter James Dormer, 15th Baron Dormer of Wyng, son of Charles Joseph Thaddeus Dormer, 14th Baron Dormer of Wyng and Caroline May Clifford, on 19 February 1944.1 She married, secondly, Peregrine Edward Launcelot Fellowes, son of Henry Shirley Morant Fellowes and Georgiana Maria Hulton Wrightson, on 22 July 1982.1 She died on 25 November 2009 at age 92.2
     From 19 February 1944, her married name became Dormer. After her marriage, Lady Maureen Thérèse Josephine Noel was styled as Baroness Dormer of Wyng on 19 February 1944. From 22 July 1982, her married name became Fellowes. She lived in 2003 at The Court, Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1
