Magdalen Trail was born on 17 May 1661.1 She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. James Trail and Mary Hamilton.2 She married Reverend John Hutcheson, son of Reverend Alexander Hutcheson, between 1690 and 1697.1

Reverend John Hutcheson was the son of Reverend Alexander Hutcheson.1 He married Magdalen Trail, daughter of Lt.-Col. James Trail and Mary Hamilton, between 1690 and 1697.1 He died on 10 February 1729.1

Margaret Trail was born on 4 August 1662.1 She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. James Trail and Mary Hamilton.2 She married Reverend James Bruce, son of Reverend Michael Bruce, on 25 September 1685.1 She died in May 1706 at age 43.1

Reverend Robert Trail was born in 1603.1 He was the son of James Trail and Matilda Melville.2 He married Jane Allen Annan, daughter of Alexander Annan, on 23 December 1639.1 He died on 10 July 1676 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1
