Sir Robert Laurie, 2nd Bt. was born after 1674.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Laurie, 1st Bt. and Jean Riddell.1 He died in 1702, from a fall from his horse, unmarried.1

Sir Robert Laurie, 4th Bt. was the son of Sir Walter Laurie, 3rd Bt..1 He married Christian Erskine, daughter of Charles Erskine of Alva, Lord Tinwald and Grizel Grierson, on 4 February 1733.1 He died on 28 April 1779 at Maxwelton, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.1
