Elizabeth Cheyne was the daughter of Patrick Cheyne of Esslemont.2 She married, secondly, Patrick Oliphant, 1st/6th Lord Oliphant, son of John Oliphant, Master of Oliphant and Lilias Gray.1 She married, firstly, Peter Hay of Megginch before 1616.1 She died before 1634.1

Margaret Oliphant was born from 1638 to 1639.1 She was the daughter of Patrick Oliphant, 1st/6th Lord Oliphant and Margaret Menzies.2 She married by contract, firstly, Francis Menzies of Balgownie on 9 June 1655.1 She married, secondly, Richard Irvine of Cairnfield before 19 July 1664.3

Patrick Oliphant, 3rd/8th Lord Oliphant was the son of Charles Oliphant, 2nd/7th Lord Oliphant and Mary Ogilvy.2 He died on 14 January 1720/21 at London, England.1
Patrick Oliphant, 3rd/8th Lord Oliphant gained the rank of officer in the service of the British Army.1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Lord Oliphant [S., 1633] circa May 1706.1 He succeeded to the title of 8th Lord Oliphant [S., 1464] circa May 1706.1 On 1 May 1709 He disponed his lands and honours in favour of James Oliphant, 5th of Gask, which was not valid to convey the peerage, but did convey the lands and chiefship unmarried.1
