Sir Daniel Fleming was born on 24 July 1633.1 He married Barbara Fletcher, daughter of Sir Henry Fletcher, 1st Bt., on 27 August 1655.1 He died on 25 March 1701 at age 67.1
Sir Daniel Fleming was educated at Queen's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was admitted to Gray's Inn.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Cumberland in 1660.1 He was invested as a Knight in 1681.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cockermouth between 1685 and 1687.1 He was an antiquary.1 He lived at Rydal Hall, Cumberland, England.1 He had six other sons.1
