     Jacintha Dalrymple was the daughter of Hugh Dalrymple.1 She married, secondly, Thomas Winckley.2 She married, firstly, Thomas Hesketh, son of Sir Robert Juxon, 2nd Bt. and Sarah Plumbe.1 She died on 7 January 1802.2
     Her married name became Winckley.2 Her married name became Hesketh.1

     Thomas Hesketh was born circa 1749.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Juxon, 2nd Bt. and Sarah Plumbe.1 He married Jacintha Dalrymple, daughter of Hugh Dalrymple.1 He died on 13 January 1781.1

     Sir Robert Juxon, 2nd Bt. was born on 23 April 1729 at Rufford, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Thomas Hesketh and Martha St. Amand.1 He married Sarah Plumbe, daughter of William Plumbe, on 19 April 1748 at Preston, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He died on 30 December 1796 at age 67.1 He was buried on 7 January 1797 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Covent Garden, London, EnglandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) in January 1797.1
     He was given the name of Robert Hesketh at birth.2 He was a wine merchant at Bristol, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Hesketh, of Rufford, co. Lancaster [G.B., 1761] on 4 March 1778.1 In 1792 his name was legally changed to Robert Juxon.1

George Edgcumbe, 1st Earl of Mt Edgcumbe

     George Edgcumbe, 1st Earl of Mount Edgcumbe was born in 1720.1 He was the son of Richard Edgcumbe, 1st Baron Edgcumbe of Mount-Edgcumbe and Matilda Furnese.1 He married Emma Gilbert, daughter of Most Rev. John Gilbert, on 16 August 1761.2 He died on 4 February 1795.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Fowey between 1746 and 1761.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Edgcumbe of Mount-Edgcumbe [G.B., 1742] in 1761.2 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall between 1761 and 1795.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1765.2 He held the office of Treasurer of the Household between 1765 and 1766.2 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.) in 1775.2 He was created 1st Viscount Mount Edgcumbe and Valletort [Great Britain] on 5 March 1781.2 He gained the rank of Admiral of the White in 1782.2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1784.2 He was created 1st Earl of Mount Edgcumbe [Great Britain] on 31 August 1789.2 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.3

     Emma Gilbert was the daughter of Most Rev. John Gilbert.1 She married George Edgcumbe, 1st Earl of Mount Edgcumbe, son of Richard Edgcumbe, 1st Baron Edgcumbe of Mount-Edgcumbe and Matilda Furnese, on 16 August 1761.1 She died on 22 December 1807.1
     After her marriage, Emma Gilbert was styled as Lady Edgcumbe of Mount-Edgcumbe on 16 August 1761. From 16 August 1761, her married name became Edgcumbe. After her marriage, Emma Gilbert was styled as Countess of Mount Edgcumbe on 31 August 1789.
