     John de Ros, 7th Lord de Ros of Helmsley was born circa 1397.1 He was the son of William de Ros, 6th Lord de Ros of Helmsley and Margaret Arundel.1 He married Margaret Despenser, daughter of unknown Despenser, 2nd Lord Despenser and Elizabeth Tybotot.1 He died on 22 March 1420/21, killed in action.1
     He succeeded to the title of 7th Lord de Ros of Helmsley [E., 1299] on 1 September 1414.1 He fought in the Battle of Agincourt in 1415.1 He fought in the Siege of Rouen between 1417 and 1419.1 He fought in the Sige of Melun in 1420.1 He fought in the Battle of Beaugé on 22 March 1420/21.1
