     Anne Lake is the daughter of Sir Thomas Lake and Mary Ryther.1 She married, secondly, George Rodney.2 She married, firstly, William Cecil, 16th Lord de Ros of Helmsley, son of William Cecil, 2nd Earl of Exeter and Elizabeth Manners, Baroness de Ros of Helmsley, on 13 February 1615/16.2 She and William Cecil, 16th Lord de Ros of Helmsley were divorced.1
     Her married name became Rodney.2 From 13 February 1615/16, her married name became Cecil. After her divorce, a vicious dispute erupted between the Lake and Cecil families.1
