     Hon. James William Best was born on 3 May 1882.² He is the son of Lt.-Col. George Best, 5th Baron Wynford and Edith Anne Marsh.² He married Florence Mary Bernarda Lees, daughter of Sir Elliott Lees, 1st Bt. and Florence Keith, on 11 August 1914.² He died on 16 July 1960 at age 78.²
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.² He was educated at Cooper's Hill Engineering College.² He was with the India Forest Service.² He was Captain, Auxiliary Force India.² He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.² He was Verderer of the New Forest.² He was awarded the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Officers' Decoration (V.D.)² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dorset.² He lived at Hincknowle, Melplash, Dorset, England^G.¹

     Alice Mary Best was born on 19 August 1919.² She was the daughter of Hon. James William Best and Florence Mary Bernarda Lees.² She married Christopher Wentworth Dilke, son of Sir Fisher Wentworth Dilke, 4th Bt. and Ethel Clifford, on 15 August 1939.¹ She died on 4 March 2016 at age 96.³
     From 15 August 1939, her married name became Dilke. She lived in 2003 at Valehouse Farm, Whitchurch Canonicorum, Bridport, Dorset, England^G.¹

     Fisher William Wentworth Dilke was born on 14 June 1948.¹ He is the son of Christopher Wentworth Dilke and Alice Mary Best.² He married Diana Madelaine Adie, daughter of Dr. Raymond John Adie, in 1985.¹

     Diana Madelaine Adie was the daughter of Dr. Raymond John Adie.² She married Fisher William Wentworth Dilke, son of Christopher Wentworth Dilke and Alice Mary Best, in 1985.¹ She died on 21 November 2002.¹
     From 1985, her married name became Dilke.

     Thomas Wentworth Dilke was born in 1991.¹ He is the son of Fisher William Wentworth Dilke and Diana Madelaine Adie.²

     Annabel Mary Dilke was born on 28 April 1942.¹ She is the daughter of Christopher Wentworth Dilke and Alice Mary Best.² She married Georgi Markov in 1975.¹
