     Lt.-Col. George Best, 5th Baron Wynford was born on 14 December 1838. He married Edith Anne Marsh, daughter of Matthew Henry Marsh, on 7 September 1870. He died on 27 October 1904 at age 65.
     Lt.-Col. George Best, 5th Baron Wynford held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Horse Artillery.1 He gained the title of 5th Baron Wynford.
