     Jean I, seigneur de Montmorency seigneur d'Ecouen was born in 1280.1 He was the son of Mathieu IV, seigneur de Montmorency seigneur d'Ecouen and Jeanne de Lévis.2 He married Jeanne de Calletot, dame de Berneval.2 He died in 1325.1

Rt. Rev. James Thomas O'Brien1

     Rt. Rev. James Thomas O'Brien was born in September 1792 at New Ross, County Wexford, Ireland.2 He was the son of Michael Burke O'Brien and Dorothy Kough.2 He married Ellen Pennefather, daughter of Rt. Hon. Edward Pennefather and Susannah Darby, in 1836.2 He died on 12 December 1874 at age 82 at 12 Thurloe Square, London, England.2
     He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2 He wrote the book An Attempt to explain the Doctrine of Justification by Faith only, in Ten Sermons, published 1833.2 He held the office of Bishop of Ossory, Ferns and Leighlin.1

     Mary O'Brien was the daughter of Rt. Rev. James Thomas O'Brien and Ellen Pennefather.2,3 She married Venerable Waller de Montmorency, son of John Pratt de Montmorency and Hon. Henrietta O'Grady, on 5 November 1872.1 She died on 12 July 1925.1
     From 5 November 1872, her married name became de Montmorency.
