     Sir William FitzWilliam was invested as a Knight. He lived at Gaines Park Hall.

     William FitzWilliam, 2nd Baron FitzWilliam was the son of William FitzWilliam, 1st Baron FitzWilliam and Catherine Hyde. He married Jane Perry, daughter of Hugh Perry, in 1638. He died on 21 February 1658.
     William FitzWilliam, 2nd Baron FitzWilliam gained the title of 2nd Baron FitzWilliam.

     Jane Perry was born before 1623. She was the daughter of Hugh Perry. She married William FitzWilliam, 2nd Baron FitzWilliam, son of William FitzWilliam, 1st Baron FitzWilliam and Catherine Hyde, in 1638. She died in April 1671.
     Her married name became FitzWilliam.

     William FitzWilliam, 1st Earl FitzWilliam was born on 29 April 1643. He was the son of William FitzWilliam, 2nd Baron FitzWilliam and Jane Perry. He married Anne Cremor, daughter of Edmund Cremor, on 10 May 1669. He died on 28 December 1719 at age 76.
     William FitzWilliam, 1st Earl FitzWilliam was created 1st Earl FitzWilliam, co. Tyrone [Ireland] on 21 July 1716.1
