Sir Timothy Shelley, 2nd Bt. was born on 7 September 1753.1 He was the son of Sir Bysshe Shelley, 1st Bt. and Mary Catherine Michell.1 He married Elizabeth Pilford, daughter of Charles Pilford, in October 1791.1 He died on 24 April 1844 at age 90.1
Sir Timothy Shelley, 2nd Bt. succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Shelley, of Castle Goring, co. Sussex [U.K., 1806] on 6 January 1815.1
He also had three daughters, all unmarried.2

She was the daughter of John Arden Birch and Charlotte Mary Leycester Stopford.1 She married Major James Richard Neville Stopford, 7th Earl of Courtown, son of James Walter Milles Stopford, 6th Earl of Courtown and Hon. Catherine Elizabeth Neville, on 26 April 1905 at Trinity Church, Brompton, London, England.1 She died in 1973.1
Her married name became Stopford. As a result of her marriage, Cicely Mary Birch was styled as Countess of Courtown on 18 July 1933.
