     Hugh Godsal was born in 1893 at Omoturangi, New Zealand.³ He is the son of Edward Hugh Godsal.² He married Violet Abdy, daughter of Captain Sir Anthony Charles Sykes Abdy, 3rd Bt. and Hon. Alexandrina Victoria Macdonald, on 5 January 1925.² He died on 11 May 1936.²

     Captain Hon. Edward Richard Barrington Stopford was born on 5 February 1914.¹ He was the son of Major James Richard Neville Stopford, 7th Earl of Courtown and Cicely Mary Birch.¹ He married, firstly, Anne Marie Elizabeth Douglas Henderson, daughter of Brigadier Harold Gordon Henderson, on 10 May 1946.¹ He married, secondly, Millicent Watt, daughter of Geoffrey Watt, in 1978.¹ He died in 1990.¹
     Captain Hon. Edward Richard Barrington Stopford was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Norfolk Regiment.¹

     Anne Marie Elizabeth Douglas Henderson was the daughter of Brigadier Harold Gordon Henderson.¹ She married Captain Hon. Edward Richard Barrington Stopford, son of Major James Richard Neville Stopford, 7th Earl of Courtown and Cicely Mary Birch, on 10 May 1946.¹ She died in 1976.¹
