Cecil William Paulet Slade was born on 22 November 1863.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. William Hicks Slade and Cecilia Louisa Des Voeux.2 He died on 5 November 1943 at age 79, unmarried.1
He was with the British South African Police in Mashonaland.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1890 in the service of the 3rd Battalion, Wiltshire Regiment.1 He was on HQ Staff (Musketry) at Aldershot between 1915 and 1919.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.).1 He was invested as a Fellow, Zoological Society (F.Z.S.).1

Reginald Robert Slade was born on 24 October 1868.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. William Hicks Slade and Cecilia Louisa Des Voeux.2 He married Lilian Florence Reynolds, daughter of Samuel J. Reynolds, on 4 September 1924.1 He died on 5 February 1946 at age 77, without issue.1
